All staff were super helpful and friendly. West rim site 13 was so nice. Life can be lost or severe injuries can occur. The sites further from parking had paths so they didn't have to walk the distance listed on the website. Note that there are 600 steps down to the bottom of the canyon to view the waterfalls (and 600 steps back up) and during droughts, the waterfalls can all but disappear. After crossing the creek, the trail continues up until it becomes a loop around the northeast portion of the park. The park straddles a deep gorge cut into the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and elevation differs from 800 to 1,980 feet. I was impressed by the abundance of trees. The park itself is beautiful, with great hiking, waterfalls, disc golf, mountain biking/horseback trails. Cloudland Canyon is a beautiful place to visit. We would highly recommend staying at this campground, and if we were ever in this area again would book here without hesitation. Wash rooms were dated & just OK but also had washer & dryer.
